North Carolina produced another winner at Sunday night's Grammy Awards the "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino from High Point, NC but currently lives in Charlotte, NC snatched a Grammy as well for breakthrough, winning Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
The Avett Brothers, also from North, accompanied Mumford & Sons and Bob Dylan for a performance during the telecast.This is great news for Raleigh-Durham and surrounding areas of North Carolinea.
