Every year the town hosts "The Celebration of the Arts" which started in 2003 as a street-type art fair and has grown to a large art festival. In the spring and early summer the town of Fuquay Varina hosts "Movie Under the Stars"! You can watch a movie outside on Ransdell Road in the historic Varina shopping district. The movie is shown on a gigantic inflatable screen with concert type sound. There are hay bales for the kids and you are welcome to bring your own seating to enjoy the cinema under the night sky.
